On Saturday, 15 November, City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna officially opened the Council’s $80 million Rhodes Recreation Centre.
“With more than 18,000 people expected to call Rhodes home by 2036, the Centre underpins our commitment to providing high-quality community and recreation spaces for local residents," said Mayor Megna.
Grand Opening moments
Each corner of the Centre was activated with a captivating performance or activity.
From demonstrations by world-champion football trickster Adrian Krog, to art workshops, sports challenges, and awe-inspiring contortionist, chair-stacking and lyra performances, there was something for everyone.
"Thank you for joining us to celebrate this milestone moment for the Rhodes community"
