Streetscape upgrades underway

Exciting news! We’ve commenced work on a range of road and streetscape upgrades to help make the precinct around Rhodes Recreation Centre safer, greener, and more welcoming.

This includes new tree plantings and a raised pedestrian crossing under construction along Gauthorpe Street.

Stay tuned for news on further upgrades to the precinct in the coming months, including additional pedestrian crossings, landscaping and street furniture as part of the Rhodes West Station Precinct Planning Agreement.

We are looking forward to delivering these upgrades to coincide with the opening of our $80 million Rhodes Recreation Centre later this year.

With Rhodes set to welcome over 18,000 residents by 2036, we’re committed to investing in quality open spaces and recreation facilities that support the needs of our growing community both now and into the future.
